A recent study based on government figures has shown that nine out of ten commercial law cases that are dealt with in London have some sort of international link, meaning they involve individuals or companies based outside of the UK.

This means that corporate law firms in London are central to many cases in the commercial law sector. There are many specialist commercial firms based in London and the Ministry of Justice has stated that the new high court building in London is actually the largest ‘specialist’ centre in the world that handles commercial dispute resolutions. It seems as though when it comes to dealing with commercial disputes London is king.

Many of the cases that occur are governed by English law, in fact it was also stated that ‘more international and commercial arbitrations take place in London compared to any other major city across the world.
